I had taken an online editing training course during the winter from Polyphony LIterature, a global literary platform for high school students. Learning editorial skills has helped me become a better writer and peer for those who may ask for my feedback. During my junior year, when peer editing, I struggled with providing ample feedback and constructive editing suggestions. I now feel I have strengthened my skills in supporting my fellow peers in their writing. I’ve always loved helping people share my successes and knowledge. Being able to better the experiences of others aligns with my values to a tee, and this course significantly allowed me to better how I could do so. Additionally, this experience contributed to my earning a five on my AP Language exam this past spring.
